Sticks II

"Sticks II" is an art work shop and teaching space at Socrates Sculpture Park in Queens, NY. The project functions as an extension of a pavilion that we built in 2016 titled "Sticks" (the winning entry of the Arch League of New York’s Folly Competition). The new iteration features an insulated polycarbonate façade as well as four large barn doors that passively cool the space during warmer months. As with the original iteration of "Sticks", the project implements a multi-purpose structural system that doubles as storage and diffuses sun light while also being easy to build and consisting of standard off-the-shelf components.
